Throughout his life Alfred Toepfer was particularly interested in the conservation of nature and the establishment of nature sanctuaries. In compliance with these special foundation’s interests the Foundation continues with nature@toepfer-fvs the previous traditional commitment to this field and designs new strategies for its support.

Activties

The Prize of the Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S. for Agriculture, Forestry and Nature Conservation is endowed with 25,000 € and honours exemplary approaches to research and work in the areas of nature conservation, farming, agricultural research and forestry.

With the Alfred Toepfer programme of experts called NatuRegio the Foundation supports the idea of conservation and nature sanctuaries in Romania and Bulgaria by providing qualifications and project work for local experts.
